| Sire: | Seahorse Olympia Golden Opportunity (World Top 3 Sr. Stallion) | |
| Dam: | Bar Ls Pot O Gold (by Dell Teras Gold Plated) |

"Scarlet" is probably the most anticipated foal we've ever had here on the farm...and she sure didn't disappoint! We looked for a year to find just the right stallion for our very special mare, Goldie. And when I saw a picture of Champ (Seahorse Olympia Golden Opportunity) I just knew he was "the one" we had been searching for!
Goldie, being an older mare and a bit overweight at the time, proved to be difficult to get in foal. But Monette Freeman, of Wisteria Miniature Horse Ranch, knew how much we wanted Goldie to have a foal by Champ and she worked tirelessly to see that we got one! So after three roundtrips between MO and LA and 18 months of mare care, Goldie came home most definitely in foal! And on day 303 out popped Scarlet!
Scarlet is just perfect! She has a beautiful head that is short with a tiny muzzle, a great topline, solid hip and a neck that ties in nicely and has that natural arch to it! She is most definitely a keeper!
Star Ridge Acres Total Surprise
|
Expected to mature at 32-33"
| Color: | Palomino with star and snip | |
| Foal Date: | 03/29/2008 2:15am | |
| AMHA / AMHR: | A186689 / pending | |
| Sire: | Ummm... We're going to have the DNA checked on this one! | |
| Dam: | Shoo Fly Acres Buttercup (Gold Melody Boy II granddaughter) |

Surprise! We were NOT expecting a solid palomino, so we're in the process of ordering a DNA kit for this little girl! I'm thinking we may have a half sister to Scarlet above. Regardless of who the sire is, she's one pretty-headed, refined filly!
Note: The sire is either World Champion Evergreens Orion Commanders Onyx or World Top Three Seahorse Olympia Golden Opportunity. My guess is Champ, but the DNA will tell us for sure! Either way, she's stunning!

2007 Babies
Star Ridge Acres Lily Blue Too
Filly - PQ Pending
|
7.5" cannon to top-of-the-hoof at birth (expected to mature at 33")
| Color: | Perlino with Blue eyes! Our first Double Dilute! | |
| Foal Date: | 04/08/2007 | |
| AMHA / AMHR: | A 178762 / 281724T | |
| Sire: | Heritage Buckeroo Time Two (BTU grandson) | |
| Dam: | Flying W Farms Blue Starlight (by Flying W Farms Little Blue Boy) |

"Lily" exceeded our expectations several times over! We were hoping for a healthy dilute filly, but this outcome was so much more than we ever would have dared to wish for! Not only is Lily perfect in every way, she's got a beautiful dished head with a tiny muzzle, she is the most upright horse on the farm, her tailset is to die for, her shoulder lays back so nicely and, and, and! I could go on and on about this little treasure.
And all this perfection is on top of a pedigree that just can't be duplicated these days. Her sire is a gorgeous buttermilk buckskin BTU grandson and her dam is an own daughter of Blue Boy! Yes, that's right! We have a Blue Boy granddaughter foaled in 2007.
We are very flattered by all the inquiries into Lily's availability, we agree that she is a rare beauty. We've considered selling Lily since she will mature taller than we prefer, but the reality is her pedigree, plus her dilute color, plus her conformation makes her one-of-a-kind. Lily will be retained for our breeding program.
Star Ridge Acres Golden Miracle
|
24.25" at 13 months (measured at AMHR show in May '08)
| Color: | Palomino with small star | |
| Foal Date: | 04/05/2007 | |
| AMHA / AMHR: | A 178761 / 281765T | |
| Sire: | Seahorse Gold Melody Bar (by Johnstons Gold Bar by Gold Melody Boy) | |
| Dam: | Spring Valleys Cappuchino |

"
Mira" is a little miracle just as her name implies. Her birth was much anticipated and anxiously awaited for months! Her dam had a very difficult time maintaining the pregnancy and there were many times when we thought a healthy baby wasn't going to be the outcome.A
s we had feared would be the case, Mira was born premature and unable to thrive on her own. But she came out fighting and with a feisty attitude! And that will to live, plus 9 days at Mid Rivers Equine Center, resulted in a strong, healthy foal! The only thing that now makes Mira different from other foals is her size. She's very refined and petite, which we love, but she is about half the size of a normal foal her age. Which is perfect for us since we just adore the tiniest ones!M
ira has great conformation and a beautiful head. Her pedigree is awesome, with three crosses to Gold Melody Boy. She will be retained for our show string and eventually retired as a broodmare if she matures large enough that we feel safe breeding her.Mira is back on our show string for 2008. At her first show of the year, Mira brought home blues under both judges in Open and placed top five in color.
