Goldie was one of our earliest acquisitions.  We loved her then and we love her even more now!  Our very first purchase was Star, a daughter out of Goldie and Star taught us how to show.  She showed her heart out and was very successful!  What set Star apart in the ring was her beautiful head and her "look at me" presence.  She got that head and look from her momma, Goldie.  So we went on a mission to purchase Goldie and we thank Dixi at Knee-Hi Acres for allowing us to bring her home.

When Goldie first arrived at our farm she was open and we owned no stallions.  We looked long and hard to find just the right match and we finally found him!  Seahorse Olympia Golden Opportunity was selected and his owner at the time accepted Goldie for a breeding.  Little did we know at that time what all of us were in for.  To make a very long story short, it took almost two years as Goldie had some medical issues that we weren't aware of that needed attention before she would get in foal.  Once those were under control we learned Goldie was in foal!  Four years after our beloved Star was born, Goldie had yet another filly with a beautiful head, our Scarlet.  We are thrilled with Scarlet and plan to show her extensively.

Goldie's sire was a beautiful buckskin named Dell Teras Gold Plated.  He was purchased by the Levy's in the 1980's at the advice of Ed Sisk.  He sired many fine foals for Bar L and was part of their dispersal in the late 1990s.  He made a couple of stops after leaving Bar L but finally ended up in a wonderful home in IL and just passed away late in 2006.  He was loved by many.

Goldie was left open for 2009 and will be bred in the spring to our Spirit.
