Those who know me personally are aware that the past year has been a year of change. Although many of the changes have been difficult they have all been for the best. In the long-run all involved will be better off. Without a doubt, one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make is the dramatic reduction in the size of my herd. I will be selling my farm and therefore will be boarding my remaining horses. The ones I am choosing to keep are all of my older mares. They have given much to the miniature horse world and deserve a retirement home and not another move to a new place so late in their lives. So I will pay to board them somewhere comfy and they will be pampered pets for their remaining time. The younger stock will be offered to great homes.
Which brings me to Raven. She has been a dream come true! She epitomizes everything I've ever loved in the miniature breed. She is tiny AND perfection - that elusive combination! And she is now for sale to the discriminating buyer who will appreciate her for everything she has to offer - beauty, grace, pedigree and personality. As with all of my horses I will be very picky about where she goes. I insist on a great home where she will be loved and treated like the queen she is. References will be required. Feel free to contact Ed Sisk; he knows her very well.

For Sale - Private Treaty
Raven is a true gift. When she was born at my friend Monette's farm I was so jealous. What a perfect little doll with such a power-packed pedigree behind her. Wow was all I could say! And Monette was in love with her also. When the spring of her yearling year rolled around Monette put Raven in training with Ed Sisk of Blue Ribbon Training. Ed liked her a lot and she was winning. But...there was a catch!
You see, Monette likes her horses to be a bit on the taller side. I like my horses, as everyone knows, on the tiny side. So Ed informed Monette that although Raven was undefeated, she had stopped growing and was probably going to mature under 28 inches. Well, anyone who knows Monette knows she likes to make her clients happy. Having purchased other horses from Monette she was very familiar with the type of horse I like at my farm. Monette called me bright and early in the morning and said "I can't believe I'm going to do this, but I'm going to offer Raven for sale. If you would like her, you can have first chance at her." I couldn't believe what I was hearing! What? Why?
So, within a couple of days, we agreed to terms and Raven was mine and remained in training with Ed. She remained undefeated in Yearling Mares 28" & Under and was named Reserve World Champion Yearling Futurity Mare and Top Eight in Open Yearling Mares. Raven was back in the ring in 2008 with Ed and again was undefeated in her open class - Two-Year-Old Mare 29" & Under. She was also the Champion Two Year Old Mare at the AMHA Central Championship Show. She again was Top Ten at the World Show in both Futurity (5th) and Open (4th).
Also at the 2008 World Show was Raven's sire, Rivers Edge Robin Hoods Rubicon, owned by Olympian Ranch and JSW Farm. He was awarded unanimous World Champion Senior Stallion 28-30" with Mike Rosauer. In addition to Raven's sire being a world champion, there is more - much more. Raven is a FIFTH consecutive generation World Champion or World GRAND Champion. Her pedigree includes Lazy Ns Boogerman (World GRAND Champion Senior Stallion), Hemlock Brooks Egyptian King (World GRAND Champion Senior Stallion), L & D Scout (World Reserve Champion Get of Sire), NFCs Egyptian Kings Lady Love (World Reserve Champion), Fallen Ash Scouts Robin Hood (World Reserve Champion) and her dam is a double Gold Melody Boy granddaughter. She comes by her conformation honestly! Click here to see her complete pedigree.
Raven was once again with Ed and Val in the show ring in 2009. She topped off her three-year show career in stunning fashion. She was the unanimous (under all five judges) World Champion Senior Mare, 28" & Under with Ed at the lead. She also was named World Champion Amateur Senior Mare, 30" & Under, Level 1 with me at the lead; it was an amazing moment that I will never forget! And if that was not enough she was also named World Reserve Champion Solid Color Mare and AMHR National Champion (also unanimous) Senior Mare, 28" & Under also with Ed at the lead. And rarely has such a tiny mare also won so many Supremes and Grands against much, much taller horses...and she did it consistently! She's not a one-time wonder!
Raven was awarded the AMHA Register of Merit in Open Halter in 2009.
Raven was examined by Mid Rivers Equine Centre this summer to determine if she was roomy enough inside for foaling. She was thoroughly examined including internal ultrasound and palpation. She was deemed perfectly ready to begin her breeding career. She can go back in the ring and do it again for YOU or she can produce another generation of World Champions!
